Still Life :

This is one of two still life pieces I am doing for my portfolio. It was rendered in scanline and uses just procedural textures (with the exception of the leaves). I mainly did this image to challenge myself in terms of lighting and uses of noise maps.
The grapes are a mix of falloff/gradient maps in both the luminosity and translucency channels.
It's not entirely photo-realistic but I wanted to capture the effect of being painted. Also, this image is based on a still life by a painter whose name escapes me at the moment. :-) I'm sure you'll recognize it though.
Well let the firing squad start...heh.

Hello,
I originally intented to post this sooner but with my final quarter (portfolio), I have been a busy bee. :-)
This is one of pieces for my portfolio reel. It was done in my Senior Project class. I am trying to focus on environments and lighting/compositing. I am currently re-editing it to include it in my reel as a whole but this is the finished version by itself.
I've included both a windows media and a quicktime file. (quicktime is 65mb so please be patient).
Here is a super hi-res picture of the scene.
Super-size
Windows Media (22mb): download
Quicktime (65mb): download
Well hopefully all the links work. Hope you like it. :-)
